Explorer Program

Mission Statement:

The Alexander Fire and Rescue Explorer Program is dedicated to the training of
young men and women ages 16-18 in the ways of the fire and rescue services.
It is our hope that they will become a positive force in their community and
be prepared for careers in the helping professions.

  Membership Guidelines:

The membership shall be composed of individuals ages 16-18 and attend high
school.  Any high school graduate over the age of 18 will no longer be
considered an active member of the post, and will be encouraged to join the
Alexander Fire Department.

All members attending school must maintain an overall 'C' (2.0) average in
order to maintain an active status in the post.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend one or more functions per
year and are allowed to participate at anytime with the post.
